Google Business 101: Offers
Do you have a big sale you want to promote? Maybe a ‘buy one get one’ type of thing? Now is the perfect time to explore “Offers” on Google Business.
Businesses run sales and offers as a way to boost sales and entice prospective customers. When you are running a sale you want to get it out there to as many people as humanly possible. Putting your offers on Google Business is a great way to get it out there in a very prominent way.
How Do I Add An Offer?
Adding offers is easy! Simply log into your Google Business Profile and select “Posts.” Once you are there select “Offer” in the post type tab. Now you will be prompted to fill out a few fields about your offer. First you will want to upload an image that represents your offer. You can choose a graphic that states the offer, an image of the product or service that is on sale or a general stock image of your choosing.
After adding an image you will add a description and title for the offer. In the title be sure to be clear what the offer is but also eye-catching! In the description add anything you like that you think will make the offer more clear and make the offer stand out.
Next you should also add a start and end date, coupon code, a URL if applicable and the terms and conditions. Terms and conditions are important if there are any restrictions or if the offer is only valid on something very specific.
Where Are Offers Seen?
If you are on the app when finding a business you will see offers pop up right below the main business details like address and phone number. This placement is incredibly prominent! On the general website offer as also shown prominently. If you want to entice more people to reach out to your business posting your offers is a great way to do it.
Why Is It Important?
People love sales! Adding discounts or special offers is a great way to turn a basic Google Business Profile into a bit of an advertisement for your business. Just think of it the way a consumer would. If you are searching for pizza and you see that one restaurant is running a special offer and another isn’t then which one would you choose?
