Why Your Website Matters

Would you believe that eight out of 10 people are going to go to your website before they'll ever consider doing business with you? According to Adweek, it's actually 81 percent, but let's just round down eight out of ten people. They need to see your website. They need to get a good idea of if they want to work with you and if you can satisfy their needs.

The Moment of Need

Micro moments are those moments in time when a consumer needs to know, go, do or buy. So eight out of ten of those consumers who need to know where to go to purchase a product or service they need are going to end up on your website. It’s super important that you have a user friendly website -- a website that actually speaks to the products and services you offer and ultimately to the level of service, the quality of service that you provide.

Usually you would include testimonials, but sometimes people just need easy, simple functionality, like a contact form. If someone goes to type in their name, address and email to tell you what they're interested in and they press ‘submit’ and nothing happens, guess what? Their mind starts making up a quick first impression of your business.

Your website is a crucial piece of your marketing. You cannot downplay the importance of a responsive website. Eight out of 10 people are going there. You've got to wow those eight out of 10 people because every single sale matters.

How Does Your Website Hold Up?

Have you taken a look around your website? Have you actually thought about whether people are having a good experience there specifically? Does anyone get caught up? Do I have any of those 404 errors? It’s the kiss of death on a website because once someone hits that 404, they're out of there.

So how is your site doing? Take a look. Are there certain things that maybe you want to make a little prettier or are there certain features or functionality that you want to add to your site to make it a better user experience so you can win more business?

Think about it. As you're thinking about it, just know that if you're going to make changes to your website, you don't always need to redo a whole website. Many business owners think ‘We've got to rebuild the whole site,” but that's not necessarily the case. You could have a pretty good site, pretty good bones, and you just need a little TLC. That's why what we create is something called Website Hours.

A good website is effective and responsive across devices!

Website Hours

Now, you may have heard of them before. Maybe you got an email from us or you watched a video. Website Hours is a way for you to create a to-do list of things that you want to do on your website and our team of skilled web developers will actually go in and make those changes for you.

We work in all different platforms, WordPress, Squarespace, GoDaddy and so on. We can even kind of play around in some of those older sites that might be built on HTML -- we can do it all. The big thing for you is making sure that your website has a good user experience, it makes you feel comfortable and you feel more confident sharing that site with others and ultimately thinking back to those eight out of ten people that are going to go to your site when they hit your site.
