00:10 Hey everyone, this is Bryan Caplan, I'm a national speaker for Google's Get Your Business Online Program. Today I want to show you how to use Think with Google's Test My Site tool, so it's testing your mobile speed on your website and really it's kind of surprising you wouldn't believe it, but as page load times go from one second to seven seconds, the probability of mobile bouncing increases by 113 percent. And what we're finding is, you know, people are still accessing websites on their mobile, over 50 percent of all web traffic is mobile and a lot of people are on 3g networks, so they don't have the 4g. They may not have access to Wifi, so we want to make sure that our website can load properly and also load in a timely fashion because these people, these consumers are leads and prospective customers are in micro-moments.

01:02 Those moments where they need to know, go do or buy, they want to get the information right away and thaey want to satisfy their need. So what I'm going to do, I'm actually going to use a website that I frequent quite a bit, Neil Patel.com, so thank you to Neil Patel, a Dotcom for being a involuntary Guinea pig here. I'm going to click on the Arrow. You can see what's happening is now it's scanning the site, so the tool is going through the site, starting to figure out what elements are on the site, what images text. So it's finished up, now it's testing on a standard connection three g and as you can see three out of four people are still going to be accessing sites on three g or slower speeds through 20 slash 20. Now it's going through, its looking at coding the html, the CSS, javascript, and it's also looking at compression of images and slash or text.

01:54 And finally what we're going to see is it's looking at the different elements of the site. Now we have a report, so Neil Patel Dot Com and not surprisingly Neil Patel's very good when it comes to anything related to google. And SEO is site speed is five seconds. So his loading time on three g is five seconds, which is considered very good, and because of that five seconds still estimated that he may lose 19 percent of his visitors do to loading time. Now of course we're all shooting for one second or zero seconds for the site to load. That's nearly impossible. So even someone as talented and as skilled as Neil Patel and his team are still seeing a five second load time. But the core thing is we can actually click on this arrow down here, see how we compare. So Neil is very good. We can see, okay, a few fixes could reduce the load time by three seconds.

02:50 I can see your top fixes and what even telling me what I need to do. Now, most of the time I understand you probably are not the web designer or web developer who built your website, but you can share this report with your webmaster and in doing so you can actually get them to make those changes, commit those changes, that will help your site speed load faster. As a result, you're going to see more visitors will stay on your site, they'll engage with your content, and potentially they're going to convert if you have the right mechanisms in place, so hopefully this was helpful for you.
